Blinking Red Car/Padlock indicator?

    I am getting a blinking red indicator on the status screen whenever the power is off (locked or unlocked), with a symbol of a padlock over a car, any ideas?

    It is indicating that the Anti-theft or Immobilizer system is active.

    Generally this sort of post is made when an owner first notices the immobilizer light. It's been there all along, but not noticed.

    Of course you right that is why I put the smiles in my post... but for me the User manual would be the first place to look. But I guess that is old fashioned these days. :D

    Thanks everybody, guess I was surprised to see it when the doors are unlocked- loving the car after 2 months of owning it-took this over a 2012 Subaru Impreza
