Better to attach VIN tag to smartkey fob or not?

    My 2 new Smartkey fobs came with VIN tags attached. If I lost a fob, VIN might help get it back to me, saving $400. Other hand, if bad person gets or sells it, maybe they can get my address, have shot at stealing the car.

    Other thoughts on this?

    If you're worried about it, maybe put a phone number on it instead of the VIN? Just make sure you can't google the phone number and find an address where the car would be.
