I've been putting replacement dash tweeters in Priuses since 2013. I use Infinity models that are direct bolt-ins and sound much better than the paper coned whizzers in the stock Toyota system. This time I opted to have a small commercial shop handle the install and added a small sub. I'm not a thumping bass fan, but just wanted a little fill below 60 cycles or so, and didn't want to break the bank either. I chose a PowerBass PS-DF110T, which is an amplified unit with a 10 inch woofer. I replaced the dash speakers with Infinity REF-3032 CFX tweeters. I have left off the included capacitors in the past with these, but used them this time to avoid some minor resonances in the dash I encountered last time I installed them full range. I must say, they really sound great! The stock "woofer" units in the doors are blended down, with a slight forward emphasis on the sound adjustments. The Sub is set to come in mainly below 65 hz or so, with just enough fill to bring in some needed low end. This is not a thump-boom system! But I listen more to jazz and softer rock anyway. I'm very impressed with how these mods worked in my 24 Prius Prime, and the total cost for two install sessions plus equipment was around 600.00 all in. The sub is in the back, blends in well with the decor, and can be removed in a couple of minutes if I need that extra space.

Sorry Spamazon link to Infinity tweeters won't copy/pasta without a lot of personalized codswallop - just do a search, They're 50 bucks!! Deal of the century, if you ask me!
