To me the comment "it's all about the batteries" is a common theme I've heard from all non-Tesla car companies.

    i heard two statements;

    #1, We know people want them . . . ,
(but our supreme leader demanded we ignore them)

#2, We ain't got enough batteries, 'cept for hybrids.
(couldn't Source them years ago, due to #1)

What they couldn't say was that their fixation on the hydrogen highway's dead end put them WAY behind.

as to battery supply, prius sales are down in the us, but i wonder how their total worldwide hybrid sales are, year over year.

At 35 to 40 seconds in I heard CH-R in china first.
One day everyone will know how to set the graphic equalizer so the voices are not constantly pushing the audio VU meters into the red zone and making it painful to listen to .

    1. Traded in our Prius Prime for a Tesla Model 3
    2. Don't own (or desire) Toyota stock

Maybe I can hid this question in a statement. Toyota has done a good job of keeping the cost of charging almost completely unnoticeable to the household monthly Energy Bill. Has anyone reading this post and charges their Plugin once, twice or three times a day, noticed any substantial rise to their monthly utility bill? I haven't.
I'm still curious about supercharger fees. Are they still competitive. Are most tesla owners happy with the fee structure? And is tesla still subsidizing supercharging costs even with the current fee schedule?

It's probably a minor issue when all things are considered, but still I'd like to understand the issue more fully.

Last time I checked Tesla was 28 cents/kWh. I think it varies by state so may be different elsewhere.

I dn't know about worldwide, but Toyota/Lexus U.S. hybrid sales through October are 219,563 for 2019 vs. 178,453 in 2018.

38,000 of the increase of over 40,000 vehicles is due to increase in Rav4 hybrid sales and introduction of the UX. Also, the new Corolla hybrid more than makes up for the drop in Prius sales.

All I heard in that video was a bunch of dishonest corporate double-speak from a bunch of lackey's that don't play any role at all in Toyota decision making.

Meanwhile, a boycott against Toyota's support for Trump is coming on strong.
#ToyotaTrump boycott gains momentum, loyal Toyota customers in revolt - Electrek

Toyota may of been well positoned to survive the last tanking of the global economy better than other auto makers, but that most certainly won't be the case next time around.
