    Barstow, CA Tesla Supercharger Vandalized Before Thanksgiving Weekend (Update)
    iirc, there are at least 8 chargers out there. Article states 'experts' had to do this - not just barstow meth heads, due to the fact your ordinary shmow would likely fry their self. Some suspect the neocons. Truth is, the cache of breakers were easily worth somewhere in the 5 figures - even used. Like catalytic converters, the products will probably have to be etched/stenciled from now on - so if someone tries to fence them, BOOM you got your bad guy.

    I believe it's been fixed already, but they'll need better security in the future.

    Competing interests. Whether DC high power or simple L2 charging, people forget how expensive it can be to maintain these units - much less to actually turn a profit. Yet users want their plugin charge to always cost less than gas.

    Too broad a brush there Hill.
    THIS user doesn't care all that much, as I almost never use SuperChargers.
    I do want them to be less expensive than gasoline, simply because that will also help speed adoption of EVs.
    But from a personal standpoint, I couldn't care less.

    One of the advantages of the Pruis over the Tesla is that the SuperCharger station is built in. Gas and Go! Go Synergy Drive!

    Remind me to NOT respond in kind, if someone punches a hole in your gas tank or tires ... otherwise all too many more will end up being like the passers-by, that refuse to lend assistance to someone getting mugged in New York City. Yes I have stepped in on multiple occasions when I've seen things going wrong. Despite the indifference & laughing emoticon, I'd even lend assistance to you - because when folks start taking a "it's all about me" attitude, we all end up like this;

    Objectively, I'd say "one of the differences" not "one of the advantages".
    Unless you include the harm done to your local economy, our national economy, our soldiers, people living near where you drive, and the added medical expenses (and thus, more harm to our economy) as "advantages".

    a lot of those vehicles will be hybrids when battery and gas prices cross the equator.
