    Prius fans!

I have a 2014 Prius GEN 3, with issues with the hybrid battery (Check hybrid system, stop the vehicle in a safe place error), so I decided to buy a Deluxe reconditioning Package, which included the charger and discharger.

I don't have any mechanical experience but with the help of my brother, we manage to install the harness and proceed with the first step which is to charge the battery.

After this I notice that the discharger was not the one that I ordered, I double-checked and I didn't make a mistake, I ordered the one for the 2014 Prius but they sent me the discharger labeled with this:

    2000-2006 honda
    2003-2005 Civic
    2012+ toyota prius C aqua

I sent an email to see if they can help me, they answered that maybe it was a mistake on the label, that they were going to check but suddenly they stopped answering my emails, it's been more than 2 weeks and I don't have any response from them, don't know what to do now, my Prius is not working correctly and I made a good investment on this ( I live in Mexico so I had to pay extra for customs and things like that)

So well, I'm pretty disappointed with their customer service, it was a lot of money invested and a lot of time to research and install the system.
What can you recommend? I have emails and my proof of purchase

Yea... They've been falling apart as a business for a long time now. :-(

We've been looking into their constantly breaking dischargers recently and have concluded that the only difference in design for different type of vehicles is three different jumpers. We're thinking we can put a switch on those jumpers so you can switch to whatever vehicle you're working on. But we need to get other electrical engineering folks in on this so we can figure it out.

IN the meantime, if you have a multi tester that can read the voltage on the battery you can wire up two light bulb sockets in series and follow Prolong's directions on using the light bulb discharger to recondition.

It's best to inspect everything when you open the box.
The harness might not be the correct one either.
Hopefully you paid by credit card. Call them and explain the sent you the incorrect item.
And that now they are not reponding to you and they will stop the payment and get there attention.
Then have them send you the correct charger, discharger, AND harness. Then you can send
    the incorrect one back.

Thank you! I will try to look into this, I don't have any skills in the wiring and electrical field, but maybe I can look for a friend who can help me, I really need to get my Prius up and going right away.

It's pretty simple to install the harness.
One Positive and one Negative wire.
Then disconnecting the fan connector and pluging in the harness.
Then putting everything back together. Taking it apart and reinstalling is what
    takes the most time.

Have you contacted your credit card company yet?

Oh yeah, the harness is already installed, we charged the car and it worked but the discharger is the one that we haven't tried, I'm afraid it may mess with the hybrid battery due to different voltage. I just need to discharge it and repeat the process 3 times I think? To fully recondition it.

The Charging removed the error but I used it for some weeks and now it's showing again, I think that if I do the full process of charging and discharging It may work for a lot longer. But right now I'm stuck.

About my credit card, I have talked with my bank and they're looking at the issue, hopefully, they can help me out with that.

IF......the battery is so weak that it won't run, trying to "recondition" it with any kind of equipment will likely be a BIG disappointment for you.
Even if it does appear to work, it probably won't last long.

Hopefully you can get the discharger and do the complete cycles.

Says 80% of the people I've recommended them too. Mostly the issue with customer service for defective items... The defects have been so much more common of late and multiple people have waited several months for repairs after they sent the defective item back.
