I have a basic Prius 2008. The stereo is a Toyota 53815. I bought one of these units: After a great struggle, I have connected to the back of the stereo. I see a blue power light, so must be connected. I press CD. Nothing. I've made sure I have a USB2 stick (and not USB3). No joy. ALL examples I see online: these are for cars with a CD changer. Does this unit ONLY work with a CD changer?? I can't find ANY videos or guides where the device is installed on the same stereo as mine. HELP!! Thanks.
I was hoping this device would be OK I'll be sending back unless someone says otherwise. New head unit... Can you show me what I can consider fitting? I'd love to get a replacement big screen... But then I lose all the display of the default screen? Thanks.
