I've noticed that if I stop the car, and then hit the power button, it seems to instantly put it park just before turning off. Id this true? And if it is, it this bad to skip the "putting in park" step before turning the car off. I know on a standard transmissions turning the car off while still in drive is possible, but bad. So does the Prius put it in park for you before turning off?
Yes, the Prius puts itself into park when you power down. It's completely okay to do it that way. Tom
