i have been looking on ebay and have seen a few auto dimming mirrors for similar aged Toyotas, for some reason it was never an option on UK spec Prius. I guess there's a live and a switched live (light circuit) as well as an earth, on some cars i have owned in the past with these mirrors there's also a switched wire that turns the mirror off when the interior light is on Is it as simple as that? if so can anyone tell me what wire on the mirror does what? Many thanks
Find the headlight fuse under the dash panel, for the "hot, switched wire". Any ground for the other wire. Right side IN THE US. Only 2 wires. Cost under $100 US for basic mirror. Same mirror Toyota uses. Even has cover to hide wires on window above mirror. Welcome to MITO-Auto Probably cheaper at Amazon.
