It doesn't support CAN so you won't be able to see hybrid component information. Scanguage II can display HV battery info on the Iconic model but not (yet) Gen3.

When somebody figure out how to decode CAN message in Gen3, it may be possible to support in Scanguage II but not Autel MaxiTrip.

    That's my thought....

Thanks for the input. I was thinking of using it for coolant temp, RPM and maybe 12V battery monitoring. I was thinking the HSI display is more than adequate for monitoring HSD...or am I missing something?

HSI won't give you battery voltage, amp, SOC %, etc... If you won't need them, this one should be good.

I just got a Maxitrip. I does work on my 2010 and looks good and fits well.

Also when I push "Gauges" on the home menu I get Speed, RPM, Radiator Temp, Incoming Air Temp. Pushing a button a few more times will get it to 12v Battery.

    But....
When the ICE goes to 0rpm it thinks the car is off and then it goes to sleep. If it comes back to life it come up in the home menu so you have to push those bottons over again.

So. It gives you what you want, but it is usless for monitoring ICE rpm while driving. I have sent a message to the manufacturer asking for a software update to disable sleep mode for Hybrids. I will let you know if I get a responce.

    Thanks,
    Dan

    Hi Again,
    As promised, More information.

I have not gotten any responce from Autel on my complaint about the Maxitrip tp100 going to sleep at 0rpm. It looks like no updates and poor customer service.

I did get it mounted well and a picture of it.

I am now getting it to run pretty well. I do get data from it even with it shutting down on ocasion. When it goes to sleep I just let it go and consentrait on staying in stealth mode. The when I know I am going to cause the ICE to come back on, like accelerating from a light or stopsign, I hit the button to turn it on knowing that is will take 5 sec or so to link up. Then I have to hit 2 buttons to get "Guages" back up. Then I am good till the ICE shuts down. It is a little bit of a bother but at least I still get my data.

The next time I will go ahead and spend the money for the Scangauge.

    Thanks,
    dan

I presume the SCII stays on all the time?

I just bought and installed an SGII and you select fuel types, of which one is "Hybrid" and that causes it to stay on even when the engine is off while driving. The issue you are experiencing is a non-issue with the SGII. You _usually_ get what you pay for.

I am experiencing the same problem with mine. Bummer. I purchased 2 - one for my brother and one for me. Perhaps I will return mine and get a SGII.
