Austalian Prius vs. American

    So I saw where a year ago, an Australian Toyota dealer advertised for 2019 Prius and up, a Carplay/Android retrofit for $199. So I printed out that notice and took it into my dealer here the US and asked for the update. They said sure, looks like its $199, we'll see if we can get it. I got a little excited, they finally released it!

    Well, then they called and said looks like that is only for Australia. What?! Can anyone shed any light on what the heck is going on with this? Why did Toyota do this for the Australians and give us the shaft? Since that update Australians spend over $5 million getting this retrofit. The US market would likely be 10 times that. Why leave that kind of money on the table and walk away?

    The Entertainment Unit in USA is totally different from the Aussie one. You get knobs - Australia doesn't :cry::cry::cry: :notworthy::sick::eek::oops::(:(:cry::cry:.
