ATF WS in other cars

    i have a lot of new ATFWS i never put in my prius and i am wondering if i can put it in my 2009 audi a4 since i will not be putting it in my prius. thank you all

    I wouldn’t. The Audi service information warns of the “Danger of causing damage to the transmission” and says to use only the ATF specified in their Parts Catalog, which depends on the transmission model.

    If the bottles are sealed they should be sellable, say on Craig's List. I have a read a caution*, that Toyota ATF WS should be used promptly, once the bottles have been opened. Not sure how critical that is; I did use some left-over fluid (400~500 cc, on two occasions), and all seems ok. I'd guess it attracts water, similar to brake fluid??

    * It was in an official Toyota document, but I'd have a struggle to find it again. Perhaps a TSB?
