Hello - I have 2017 Prius 3 and I noticed this assembly underneath the right rear of the driver's seat. It is not under the passenger seat. Does anyone know what this does?
    Thank you

It looks like the seat mount. There should be one on the left side of the seat too. The drivers seat has elevation adjustment that the passenger seat lacks.

Could be the lumbar support adjuster.

Never look under the seats. Just drive it. :)

It's possible I missed it in the handbook, but was there a factory fit ejector seat option?

Only with the moonroof. They kill too many drivers otherwise. :D

Hi kithmo - I have the manual seats so there is no lumbar support. But thanks for your reply. Marvinh

Hello folks. Thanks for your replies. Yeah, I don't think I have an ejector seat either! LOL! However from the first reply, its probably a cover that prevents fingers from getting into the height adjustment mechanism.
    Thank you. Marvinh

Another regional difference - the base model here has manual seats + lumber support adjustment (electric).

I was hoping it was another cubbyhole. Since there is a shortage of those.
