Hello, I got a used Prius 2 and the armrest is unscrewed like the photos show. Because I tried the screw and it doesn’t seem to go in nicely, can someone who knows confirm if it’s the correct one and if not, provide me with the correct size?

Of course I need two more for the bottom ones because that’s what I suspect is making it unstable and bouncy.

Yes that looks pretty close explain go in nicely You're screwing into a plastic boss so a metal plate with a hole in it and a metal screw is screwing into a plastic boss just above all that electronic door lock business or whatever right there I'll take them apart all the time all the screws in the dash predominantly will fit that armrest when I take the dash apart I throw all the screws on the floor All of the screws that are of like same thread in the dash will screw in and hold that armrest on when I take the armrest off I just throw the screws on the back floorboard usually on the right side and deal with the armrest reupholster it whatever I'm doing and then the screws are laying right there on the right side and the rear foot well ready to go You can take screws from the dashboard and all around the car and turn them by hand into those holes I'm not sure what size they are buddy You can go to home Depot and match them up You don't want to get a fatter overall diameter because you'll break the plastic boss so best to use Toyota screws out of the Toyota car then something from home Depot and they're also black the factory ones. So I'm not sure what you're using that doesn't feel like it's going in nicely The threads that you are showing on the screw that you are using look to be correct You should be able to offer it up to the hole with your fingers and twist it in at least two turns by fingers and of course the length is a problem but I think in all of the car you'll have to look real hard to find something too long that will go all the way through the boss like the screws that hold the rear panels in in the very rear of the panel or up there by the shade that covers the stuff in the trunk and you can clearly see in a second that they're way too long All the rest of them will look like what's in your picture predominantly

I had the time to check if they fit and they go in nicely. Now I’m in the hunt for the exact screw because it’s missing 4 of them and the armrest is not closing well.

Found some on eBay but it’s 7.5 for them + 25 shipping so it’s not worth it. I’ll have to find something similar to screw in without damaging the plastics.

You can just go around the car you can swipe a few open the glove box door look around and then just go get replacements at the hardware store for the ones you sneak out of a few places take the two out of the side of the console look where your seat bolsters are in the console and there's one on each side You should be able to go to home Depot or whatever wherever your country is or whatever is happening and get a suitable replacement You just don't want to get too long or you'll break the plastic boss you're screwing into so just carry along one of the black factory screws that goes in nicely and you'll be able to match it up pretty close shorter will be better than too long and then when you come back to assemble you just gently bury those and now your console lid goes up and down and you can't push back and forth on it front to back like you can now and if you keep doing that you're going to break the console or screws in you don't want to do that.

Have you tried amayama.com? They have them for about €0.73 ea (part # 93540-54012) and I've found their freight prices to be reasonable.

Thank you so much for providing the part number! I will try to find a close match at a store nearby, but if unsuccessful, will order from them. Shipping is reasonably priced.

You're in Greece I just shipped a box of an MFD to a guy in Greece too bad I couldn't call y'all both at the same time too funny like I say if you can go to a service station where there's a car that's been blown up or just sitting in the corner the screws out of a Nissan or a Toyota dash will all be the same you'll be shocked they're everywhere and possibly a hardware store on the island maybe able to help you but you don't want to be operating the console lid until you get that metal bracket with the four screws with four screws in it and held down properly or you will break the back of the console and that's much harder to get

I operated it without knowing for about a week. It was 2 days ago that I accidentally find a video about the console and decided to open it up to check for the screws. I saw how easy it is to remove the back cupholders and check the them.
Currently I have the armrest removed and not in place.

So as I understand it’s important the screw is not longer and not wider, and everything else is less important?
