Today (4-22-2014) is already over 10 hours old. No ED-2014 thread yet????? Fewer Greens driving Priuses these days?
i'm watching my wife turn over the 'earth' in her garden and planting peas, while sipping a cold one made from the fruit of the 'earth'.
Sunday we did yard-work and turned over the soil in the vegetable garden. Looking forward to delicious tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, blueberries and strawberries from the backyard again. How could you not love the Earth considering all it gives us?
Spent a large part of ED-2014 out in the yard not planting trees, but removing thousands of maple tree seedlings. And the 24YO mower, which we never do anything with in the way of maintenance, started before I could fully pull the cord all the way back. Then in the evening I photographed RW Blackbirds and Robins. All in all, a good Earth Day.
