Anyway to tell how much nd11 oil left after Pulling condenser off all refrigerant blowed small line

    Anyway how to tell how much nd11 oil after Pulling condenser off all refrigerant blowed out?

    I didn’t realize how much a head ache and expensive this was going to be to just clean my rads out or I would of never pulled the lines.

    I know I can get some hybrid no oil r134a but idk what the nd11 oil I have left. I didn’t drain the lines so it all blew out and I didn’t mean to do that just happened.


    This is pretty important for my I am on a major time crunch and trying to get this back together and fixed.

    Amount of oil and refrigerant is done by weight, not by pressure because it's a variable pressure system. So you need to get the last of everything out of the system and you could possible do this by can weight, but in a time crunch, probably best to take it to a shop that has an expensive machine that makes super accurate weight measurements. If you don't get the weights done correctly the system won't last very long.

    So what you are saying is that even tho it blew all pressure all the ways down there’s a possibility I didn’t lose a lot of refrigerant or oil or both? I am just trying to understand what you meant when you say by weight not by pressures

    If it blew then it's mostly gone... But the standard way they do it is by putting a vacume pump on it and emptying it out entirely. A mechanic that operates one of these expensive machines could tell you how much is likely still in there. I suspect it'd be mostly oil and almost all refrigerant is gone, but don't have enough experience to say more.

    That’s ok for me to hav mostly oil which is what I’m really hoping for as I know I need to pull a vac it will have to wait and I will recharge it temporarily with a hybrid no oil is my only option I see atm. I will avoid cross contamination but I appreciate the help

    I’m gonna hook up techstream and see what it shows at least should help me see some type of numbers I won’t blow it with nothing in it of course
