Anyone using Fuelly and notice it doesn't calc large MPG?

Perhaps it didn't believe you since Fuelly still doesn't support PHEVs.

Seriously though, the first time I used it with my PiP, it said something like, "Are you sure about that?" And that was only about 95 mpg. I do wish they'd figure out how to support these increasingly popular PHEVs.

 

Make a spreadsheet and set up the formula within the spreadsheet to do the calculation for you.

mpg = miles/gallons

I find it easier to track the odometer reading because the dealer tech often resets the trip meter when resetting the maintenance required light when servicing the car.

The spreadsheet can also calculate the miles driven between fuel ups from the odometer readings and plug that into the distance traveled cell for you.

Like Fuely, you can add cells to input the cost per gallon and have it calculate the total price for the fuel up so you can use that as a check to see if you are entering the right values for the distance, price per gallon, and gallons.

Good ploy, I do the same: trip meters are too volatile. Fuelly also will allow you to enter odometer value, and subtracts it from the previous.

I'm belts and braces: update my spreadsheet first, then Fuelly, just for fun.

@Captmiddy : all I can think is to contact Fuelly, let them know your issue, with the details of your extremely low consumption, see what they say.
