Im thinking about adding usb ports and want them on their own fuse. However for me to do this without messing with the preexisting cables i would run them out the side of the fuse box, meaning i would need to trim or file down the fuse box cap for the wires to run through. Im looking for a spare cover in case this all goes wrong

I left mine off, it's in the glove box. No one will see your open fuse box unless they lay in the driver's footwell on their back.

I found two fuse blocks under the hood and one in the driver's footwell, did anyone ever figure out which one he needed?

I had the understanding that it was the one in the driver's footwell.

you can add a fuse or two to your internal fuse box and hook up to the matching pin. I just did this, though i used an existing fuse for the "moon roof" (i dont have one but the fuse is still there)

You could also use an inline fuse.
