I had the car running for a little ride.. coolant temp was 142. I let the car shut down... It transfered the coolant to the tank.. I quickly put the car back in the "On" position. Did not start it.. It pumped the coolant back in. Temp went down to 121.. So.. I guess.. that there is about a 20 degree loss in temp when the coolant transfers in and out of the engine? It was about 32 degrees farenheight at the time I did this.. Anyone else notice any similar readings? I would think they would keep it in the engine longer.. maybe until it knows the occupant had left the vehicle.. (by locking the door?) Thoughts? Scott
