Any way to transfer contacts from iPhone?

I just tried to do this last night. The iPhone bluetooth stack does not support it. I found an application for a Mac that advertised it would work and couldn't get it to pair correctly. I also tried to do it with my Win7 laptop unsucessfully.

I ended up pulling my contacts off, using BitPim to put them on an old LG dare, then paired the Dare. Once the Dare was paired I transfered the contacts to the car. All in all it would have been better for me to just enter the contacts manually.....

 

On my 2013 paired by bluetooth to my iPhone when I push contacts it just pulls them all from the phone. I wonder why it doesn't do it on the Gen II?

 

I think it has to do with in the newer car, when you press contacts it asks the phone for the contacts where in the gen 2 you have to tell the phone to export it. I rented a 13 and it worked really well but I had the damnedest time getting the 09 to work.

I'd be curious of someone w/the latest or a much newer nav DVD on a Gen 2 has gotten it to work. I'm still using the original that came w/my 06 which was completed in 05 or earlier.

 

You must be connected to a Wi-Fi network on both your old iPhone and on your Prius device.
You can use the device switch app to transfer contacts, pictures, and other personal data from your iPhone to Prius.

 

For iPhone or ipad users, if you want to transfer data out of your devices, you can use direct data transfer tool, itunes doesn’t allow us to transfer the data directly.
