I would like to ditch the black rims that my 2012 prius four came with. can anyone recommend some rims? I would like to stick with size 15s, but I,m willing to put 17s as long as
    my mpg wont change much

Stick with the 15s then. If you drive less than about 15,000miles a year then the 17s won't kill ya. ;)

I recommend going through the aftermarket wheel thread. Tons of great pictures in there and while most are 17" or 18" wheels you can often find the same wheel in a 15".

Don't forget a 16" wheel too, I've found them to be a good compromise. ;)

you are out of line. He is asking for advice and is pointing out mpg as a key component. There is nothing negative about it.

Agreed. I like Kevin but there is nothing negative about warning people of the impending loss of mpg should they decide to upsize. Some people do not anticipate such a low and end up sending a lot of money and are only marginally happy with the results because of the loss.

Why am I out of line...? I get tired of all the people who complain about MPG. I am happy with my 18" wheels and 43-45 mpg. Not all of us care that much about MPG. This is the modification section of the forum. I am happy with my modifications and I dont go tell everyone to not do things because of MPG. There is personal style and customization. I dont go into the other sectionsof Prius Chat and complain. If you dont like modifications, then dont post negative comments. I come on here for ideas and brotherhood of a common car. I dont come on here to read post after post about MPG and dont put anything bigger than 15's. The other sections are fine to post how to get 60mpg, but it is not realistic here in Socal.

Then post in a thread where the OP says he doesnt care about mpg or at least doesn't say anything about mpg. In this thread he specifically stated "as long as my mpg won't change much".

I understand your frustration but pick your battles a little better.
