Any PC Michigan members here?

I have gained alot of knowledge since joining this forum which is awesome. And though I have yet to be a Prius owner, I was simply curious to see if there were any MI-based people here as well. I havent seen many posts regarding any of the dealerships here in MI (besides the few in the Detroit area).

The few near my area I have found were Spartan Toyota in Lansing, Sunshine Toyo in Battle Creek and two in the Grand Rapids area. Of course one of the GR locations I crossed off the list after the guy there told me that the Prius wait would be 9 months and that I could come in to test drive and see if any of their pre-owned vehicles (non-hybrid) would fit the bill.

Glad he saved me from wasting time going to his dealership. I dont want pre-owned, I want new.

The one I called in Lansing said that they should be able to get me one by November (which is the time I told them I would be ready to pick it up), plus their deposit was only $250. The Battle Creek location has a $200 deposit, and the guys there seem really helpful as well.

I am looking of course to see which dealership in my radius area will be able to deliver in that time frame. I guess the race is on to find out. Though I do have one currently on order from the other GR dealership, I am broadening my area to see which ones would be able to deliver, so that if one falls through I will have another place to go to.

I really don't want to go too far out of my local area and I am not willing to fly thousands of miles for a car (too far to drive back and expensive). And since I am keeping my Olds, there won't be a trade in (the Olds wont be worth hardly much anyway due to its age). I know many are wanting to get their car by the end of this month to get the full tax credit, but to me I don't mind waiting till Nov.....and, the tax credit is not that much of a big deal. Patience is a virtue (for me at least).

I was just curious to see if there were any fellow Michiganders here to share your Prius and dealership experiences. The majority of people I have read posts on here are from the west coast and most of the eastern states.

Sorry if this seems to be long winded, it would simply be nice to see if there were any other MI people here at PC.

Yes I pass by that location every morning to/from work commute. I just talked with them yesterday and talked to Bob earlier today....seems like a decent guy, and got on his list as well.
