Are any of the original tires worth keeping if one drives in light to moderate snow? (We generally miss the lake effect snow.) Or are they worth keeping at all?

    Thanks!

indianagreg, I can't answer your question; I've only had my Prius, which is my first sedan, first FWD, & first Prius for about two weeks. My Prius came equipped with Yokahama M+S tires. Based on a discussion with a friend who has owned a Prius for a couple of years and the discussions here on PriusChat, I plan to purchase a set of wheels and mount studded winter tires. Here in the Denver area we get 8, 10, 12 snowfalls during a typical Winter which are usually powder snow. But, generally we also get a number of heavy wet snowfalls from late Winter through the Spring every year.

It seems prudent and safer to be prepared. --TK
