Has anyone ordered a PIP from a dealer (not a pre-order) and gotten it yet? - Waiting for Pre-Order in S.F. Area
It's very unlikely that anything would be available till late May. I am not certain why that's a problem for anyone. I mean, there had to be an end of the line for pre-orders super close to the line where the rest of the cars are disbursed. Seamless to keep production going....
I did notice a PIP in the lot at Roseville Auto Mall, in the Employees parking lot. Of course that could have been pre-registrant or Dealer ordered. All I know is I tried several times to talk to them during the preregister period and got nowhere. All I got was a line of crap. It appears as tho many dealers thru-out the country could have ordered under "some" preregister program, but not necessarily the Priuschat. I also noticed a C and a PIP in which the pricing label were removed. Does the dealer make up his own??? Not you Dianne :cheer2:
I heard that some people changed their minds and cancelled the orders when their PiPs arrived. You may check the dealers to see if they have one available. The dealer at my area keeps calling me if I want to pick up the one it has now, but I prefer the one I pre-ordered, it has a sea glass pearl but I want my blizzard white.
Tustin Toyota. They called me at the beginning of the month telling me they had one available. Another call on Monday telling me they had a sea glass pearl.
I would be unhappy if a lot of cars were being built for dealer orders while mine waited in queue, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
I also know there was one PiP orphaned at the dealership I'm using in MA. It was a lower level package than my order (2 or 3) and in white, either one of which facts was enough to make me wait for my L5 gray.
