I have been using an FM transmitter to listen to my cell phone while I am driving. In some case radio transmissions, including from other vehicles, interfere. In my first generation Prius I have I took off the antenna completely because it was especially bad because it had an extra long antenna and seemed especially bad. Since being removed, it has been far better. I likely should put something in the hole where it was mounted in order so it does not rust however. Thinking of removing the antenna from my newer car as well. Thinking of getting something like this unless someone has an alternative Link
