So, my Prius was totaled. In my state of paranoia concerning job security, I made the painful but economical decision to buy a ULEV that gets 30/34 mpg but that I will have paid off in three years. It's a neat little car, but it ain't the Prius. Knowing that I no longer own one, but that I will always want another and continue to recommend them to everyone I know, am I kicked out of the PriusChat club? I'd be sad, but I'd understand...sniff.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(livelychick @ May 8 2007, 02:49 PM) </div> Not kicked out. I had my eye on the Toyota Yaris myself. My wife wanted the bigger car. Dave
I vote she can stay. Wanting a Prius is enough, isn't it? Besides, she's nearly always polite, is a good speller, and has an agreeable sense of humour.
Livelychick, FHOP wouldn't be the same without you! I hope that you stay! What kind of car did you end up getting?
You have been a great member, stay aboard, your comments are always welcome. Maybe you'll hit the lotto and get another Prius.
You'd better not go anywhere, livelychick! I always enjoy reading your posts. This place wouldn't be the same without you.
Of course you can stay here on PriusChat, but . . . Unfortunately, according to its bylaws, you will now be excommunicated (and probably snubbed) by the members in good standing of the Cool Chicks with Black Priuses/Prii club.
we'll give you an honorable discharge from the club, lively. do stick around! financial security means more in the long run than driving something you want but can't afford. don't feel bad, life throws us all curve balls sometimes.
Your Prius may totaled, but more importantly are you OK? The job scare is major unwanted stress - sorry to hear, really hope all works out. As stated by hyo silver, I too have in my short involvement here always enjoyed your comments. Perhaps you could start a thread on how to crash safely? or how to maintain ones eco-dignity in a ULEV? You can total it, but you can never leave. Cheers!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(livelychick @ May 8 2007, 02:49 PM) </div> Of course you're still welcome. Heck, I don't exactly drive a Prius every day myself. While Megan's got the car, I'm on the (look for the big one)...
Once a member, always a member. Actually, you couldn't leave even if you wanted to. It's not permitted. So stick around. But changing your profile info once you have a new car would be a good idea.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(MegansPrius @ May 8 2007, 04:35 PM) </div> Same here. I gave up my Prius this week so my wife could drive it, she's had it two days and put on as many miles as I did in two weeks (usually I bike to work). So if you're out, with >1000 posts as a Prius driver, then I'm out with only >500 posts as a Prius driver (altho I'll still occasionally drive it, and definitely keep the tires pumped up, etc.) As long as Malorn is part of the club, you're definitely welcome.
