    Hi All,

It appears that the after market head lights I purchases about a year ago recently started flaking on the top surface level. I will wait till they both are mostly flaked off, then buff and shine. It is some type of clear over coat that cracks and flakes.

With the tail lights, the insides could not take the sunlight heat and started melting. Both sets were purchased from China. Cheaper materials for the price I guess. Live and learn.

wow that almost looks like a protective layer they put on for shipping. Can you peel it off in 1 piece?

It literally flakes off. But in some places it still sticks, so you have to be careful so you don't scratch the exposed surface.
