The Lexus RX 450h+ is a plug-in hybrid version of the venerable Lexus RX that has been sold exclusively in Europe until the 2024 model year. In fact Lexus has sold almost as many RX 450h+ in Europe as they've sold the RX 350h hybrid.

Toyota Motor Europe’s sales grow to 573,976

You can get further specs and press release here:
2024 LEXUS RX 450H+ - Lexus USA Newsroom

    Highlights of the specs:
    • Engine creates 180 hp (134.2 kW), 168 lb-ft (228 Nm) of torque (odd the NX 450h+ engine makes 181 hp - same engine)
    • Total System power is 304 hp (227 kW) (NX 450h+ and RAV4 Prime are 302 hp (225 kW))
    • 0 - 60 mph in 6.2 seconds (RX 500h does it in about 5.9 seconds, the NX 450h+ gets there in 6.0 seconds and the RAV4 Prime blows them all away at 5.7 seconds)
    • same 18.1 kWh battery as the NX 450h+ and RAV4 Prime.
    • 35 mile (56 km) AER manufacturer estimate (83 MPGe)
    • 35 mpg combined with 14.53 gallons gas tank and a full charge will get 543.5 mile (875 km) of range (again manufacturer estimates on mpg - the NX 450h+ can get 573.6 miles (923 km))
    • Towing remains at the same 3,500 lbs (1,588 kgs) as the hybrid and gas models
    • Available the end of 2023
    • Starting MSRP is $70,080 - about the same as the RX 500h and about $10,000 more than the starting MSRP of the NX 450h+
It'll be interesting to compare the TX 550h+ with its 3.5L based plug-in to the RX 450h+, especially if you can get the tax break for the TX since it and its battery will be made in the US.

wonder how much of that 18.1 kWh pack is used as upper & lower buffer ... and what that remainder translates out to in the way of range ...

Don't see why the buffer would change much from what the Rav4 and NX PHEVs use.

True, but that still leaves the EV range query though. Isn't the RX still heavier then the ravPrime? ... but the aero goes to RX. Odd the traction pack size is revealed but not the electric range.

It was; "35 mile (56 km) AER manufacturer estimate (83 MPGe)."

It's a size category bigger than the Rav4. Going to be heavier while using the same battery, before we consider differences in the drive train. Though those sound minor.
