How would you go about adjusting the headlights on a 2010 prius with led lights.

Good question. The have an auto-leveler but I suspect the base line should still be adjustable. There is an adjuster on the non-LED type for vertical alignment only. I along with others here had to adjust ours because it was too low from the factory.

Do you know how to properly align them?

A lot of people come from running halogen lights in reflector housings so they don't realize that projector style headlights have a sharply defined cutoff that blocks light from going to high. I just want to make sure you know how they work.

Here is how Tumbleweed did it:

Here is a link to HIDPlanet that explains how to do it legally: HOW TO: aim HID headlights

To remain safe and legal you should make sure that your lights do not shine above the trunk of most passenger cars or above the door line (shining into the driver's side window).

You talk'n to me? If so, I was working with Tumbleweed on aiming the headlights about what a year and half ago. And now that you mention it, he has a V so probably LED lights. So if that worked for him and worked for me (halogen) guess we are covered.
Now to whether they are adjusted to specification I couldn't tell you, I just keep adjusting till I could actually see far enough ahead to be safe. I have not had anyone flash me so I think it is OK.

Nah, the OP. I figured you already knew how to do it and didn't need instruction. :)

    Here's the adjustment.

The instructions F8L posted look universal and should work on any car with that type headlights
