Hi! does anyone have any info on installing/intehrating an xm radio into the 2010 Prius II? It is XM ready, (I am assuming that means the hook-ups are available behind the dash), so I am interested in finding out how difficult/easy it is to DIY. Also, is there an antenna patch-in somewhere to connect a portable XM unit? I know on some other vehicles (other than Toyota), there is one located behind the front passenger kick panel.

Toyota unit would plug into the back of the head unit, likely w/ the harness run down the center and under the driver's seat. If the antenna is pre-installed, my guess is it'd be run to where the receiver should be located. I haven't seen the install instructions yet - so this is only an educated speculation.

As for aftermarket, I'm afraid you're going to be stuck w/ aux-in w/ the jack inside the center console.

On my package III with nav "It is XM ready" meant it had the receiver in it and you had to subscribe to service.

    Hello there.

Just following up to see if you ever ended up installing the XM tuner for your Prius? I am debating on buying the tuner and doing it myself, but am not sure how difficult it is.

Somehow I don't trust the dealer and am affraid they will damage/dirty/scratch something inside installing it.

    Thanks,
    Carlos
