    Hey guys,

Does anyone know a way to access the back of the factory radio, so I could remove the antenna cable? I installed SIRIUS, and the FM modulation is just not going to work for me, as I drive all over the state of TN. I bought of those antenna adapters before, and they work perfectly. Zero static, and you never have to constantly tune in frequencies, but, you have to get to the antenna connection to install it.

Is it a simple "pull-out" antenna, like on most cars? It looks like a nightmare to remove that plastic dash panel, and I would rather try to gain access without going that route, even if it means a few scraped up knuckles.

    Thanks so much,

    Mitch

You can take out the glove box (just as you would for access to the cabin air filter) and reach around. The antenna jack is near the bottom, left-hand (looking at the radio face) corner, so the far side from the glove box opening.

Tip: where the manual instructions are to access the cabin filter by removing the two stop pins inside the glove box at the sides, this causes the glove box to flop out upside down and dump your stuff on the floor. It isn't any harder to leave those pins alone and pop out the plastic hinge pins at the bottom; then you just lower it out of the way, it hangs there by the stop pins (since you left them alone) and your stuff stays in.

Thank Chap! I'll pick up a cabin filter and kill 2 birds with one stone.
