AC trouble

    Has anyone had trouble with their AC and their condenser? Ours leaked fluids (no hole seen during check-up) and the condenser had to be replaced. I have a 17 year old Subaru and other 'old' cars in my history and nothing like this has ever happened to them. Toyota wouldn't pick up the bill for this. Hmmmm...:(

    road debris can kick up a hole into the condenser... it isn't really any more or less protected than other cars. just (bad) luck of the draw. we put a screen behind the lower grille to hopefully protect a little better since we take long road trips to see family. maybe see if your car insurance will pick up the tab- road hazard.
