Started the climate system through the AC button today when the charger was in but the car fully charged to see if the smartplug shows power consumption but it doesn't. So seems like it took from the car battery. I set maximum heat and full fan before starting the AC test. Anyone get a rash on consumption? they say that it is better to use air conditioning when the charging cord is in, so that it will then take from the cord? Does anyone know how many watts the car's air heat pump draws?

I have an older Prius with no heat pump, just the variable electric A/C. That can draw between about 250 watts and 2500 watts depending on how much heat it wants to move. I would guess the Prime heat pump is about similarly sized, just able to move heat both directions.
