A little humor for those not entirely happy with their 11.6" screen

Humm, that's exactly how I use the 11.6" screen on my PP... What's so fanny about that?

 

There was a member here, asking about screen replacement cost, his was cracked. Sometime along in the discussion he disclosed: it was cracked ‘cus he’d punched it in frustration…

 

Yep, TheCarCareNut on YouTube has a dealership story of a lady with a car (I think it was a Camry) demanding Toyota replace her screen that was cracked...it was obviously hit by her who had anger-management issues!!
His stories are hilarious....I'd hate having to deal with crazy customers like that.

 

Just out of curiosity; has anyone seen someone retrofit the smaller factory 7-inch screen and AC vets in a model that has the 11.9-inch screen?

 

I know this is old.............Man that would be a swap. For sure. If the housing of the car is the same I am sure it could be done. I'm not looking forward to the 11" screen if I buy a 2020 PP but I want the other goodies. I'm sure I will just turn mine off like many others have. I understand that the AC vents are different as well. But i'm sure that disassembly of the dash would be extensive...to get to the point at the factory where You could so that. The wiring harness would probably also be very different as well....we would be talking a Rich Rebuilds level project....but I don't think anyone has done it yet.

Oh if it were only that easy....LOL. Reminds me of When I upgraded the HU in my Range Rover I actually had to cut into the heatercore venting and refab the ductwork with Vent Ducting tape and new metal. It was brutal...like 9 hours worth of work.....but it worked.great afterward.
