I recently had a run in with a large piece of tire tread in my 2005 on the highway. I picked it up yesterday and all seemed fine. Today, however, I am having issues with the A/C. When I first power on and begin running, the A/C blows hot. After I about 5 minutes and a few toggles on the A/C on/off swicth, the compressor kicks on and the air blows cold for the rest of the trip. It is very hot out today and my fiancee thinks that may be part of the issues but I think the A/C should kick on and immidiately blow cold air. Has anyone else had anything similar or any thoughts? Thanks, Justin in Dalls
Is this different behaviour than before? If so, take it to a dealer. I've had good experience with Toyota of Richardson.
Mine takes a minute or so to begin blowing cool air, and not very long before it's blowing cold. Five minutes sounds like a problem.
