I was at my local dealer today getting some recalls taken care of and the service advisor told me about this local Prius. It is a 2008 with 610,XXX miles. He did say that the ICE was replaced @ 500,000. Has anyone seen or heard of one with any more miles? This has to be extremely high miles maybe the most on a Prius.
Cool! Too bad the ICE needed replacement at 500K miles. I wonder if/when it needed a new HV battery or any other major/expensive components. At Lifespan/Operating costs - Prius Wiki, there's a link to a Prius taxi w/over 1 million km (~621K miles). Not sure where it's at now.
That's definitely near twice the amount of miles I've ever read about on a Prius.... And 500,000 miles for an engine is way more than I'd expect. What an amazing story!!!
