58/53 MPG rating for 2022?

    Just noticed 2022 Prius has a 58/53 mpg rating, is it me or did that get higher from other Gen 4 Priuses? Just curious, it does seem more inline to actuals if you're not flooring it all the time.

    Yep, my 2016 Gen 4 is only rated 52/48. That's about what I get on average if I'm not paying attention, so it seems accurate.

    Thanks all! yes, I was mistaken...I just had 50MPG in my head for some reason as the marketed number ha.

    That marketing theme has been stuck in your head for a very long time. The last regular Liftback model (excluding the AWD variant) with "just" 50 MPG was for model year 2015.

    I have a 2022 L Eco and currently getting 64 mpg overall. That includes a 66 mile round trip daily work commute five days a week with a good chunk of highway driving.

    check to see if you have ECO mode turned on or the Normal mode. I have 2017 and my average MPG is around 64

    and check your tires pressure. it could be a dragging brake

    I have a 2020 L ECO and already have 224,000 miles on it. Am averaging 81.22 MPG so far...

    No....AVERAGE over the past 224,000 miles. I am a hypermiler, have been doing this stuff a very long time....

    For the first year I averaged more than 83 mpg.....but now I am doing nearly all FREEWAY driving, so my mpg is not as good....
