took my month old 08 touring on it's first road trip. from Austin, Tx; Deming,NM; Flagstaff/Grand Canyon, Az; Las Vegas, Nv; Santa Barbara, Ca; San Francisco, Ca; Los Angeles, Ca; Pheonix, Az; Van Horn, Tx; back to Austin, Tx. First stop and next to last where sleep stops all others were 3 to 4 days, sight seeing, gambling(Lost) and fun.up and down mountains no problem. drove speed limit to speed limit+5, cruise control all the way. miss stated miles in title was 4363 miles used 91.87 gal of gas for just under 47.5MPG. if there ever was a question, if the Prius was a road trip vehical, i can say with out any reservation it is.
Sounds like you had a good time. The longest road trip I have taken was only about 400 miles, but it preformed well. Looking forward to a road trip in a couple of months.
Sweet, my Prius is going to be driven to Arizona this weekend by my parents and on October 24th from San Diego to Berkeley, CA.
