    just assuming, if it was a standard colorado plate, i would think its not a test car, usually the manufacturers have a special plate for test vehicle, i think it says manufacturer on the bottom of the plate.

    or some random person bought a matrix and swapped the entire powertrain and all harnesses

    Interesting.. a possible Matrix HSD?

    Well the Matrix XRS does use the 2.4 litre 2AZ engine from the Camry so the engine bay does fit a 2.4 litre. The question is whether it can fit the other components too.

    The Matrix isn't out til Feb 2008 so keep an eye out ppl!

    There's no way a regular person could've gotten a hand on a new Matrix (heck, I think they're still loading up on pre-productions. Production might start soon though to create a stockpile for the February launch but it's definitely not a regular Joe in the driver's seat.
