    Hi all,

I have LDA enabled, and I get a warning message whenever the car drops below 32mph that LDA is disabled below this speed. This message only happens the first time the car falls below 32mph on the trip. I'm obviously quite aware of this fact now (since the pop up happens on *every* trip), and I was wondering if there is any way to disable this message going forward (besides just turning off LDA).

    Thanks.

I am pretty sure there is no way to disable the stupid warning message, as I have searched for the same message and how to disable it, without disabling all pop up messages. Eventually after a while, you will ignore it like me. By the way, congrats on your new prius purchase and welcome!

No - maybe they put it there for legal reasons - telling you that that particular safety feature isn't working any more, and they feel we need a daily reminder.

Sounds like a question for someone who has Carista, perhaps?

Toyota’s Repair Manual has several lists of “Customize Parameters” that can be changed using the multi-information display or Toyota Techstream software. None of the lists mentions any option to disable the Lane Departure Alert System is Unavailable Below Approx. 32 MPH message.

The Meter/Gauge System section of the Repair Manual says the combination meter shows this message when it receives a “Speed condition failure text display signal” over a CAN bus from the forward recognition camera. I imagine the message could be suppressed by changing the meter or camera firmware, but as a practical matter, I think we’re stuck with it.

Much like the warning whenever you turn on DRCC about only using it on freeways...
