Had some down time with the hollidays, I had previously done a piston soak with crc intake valve and turbo cleaner ( half can left over laying around ) since it advertised on the bottle 150x more concentrated than fuel additives and removes 46% of deposits in 1 hr and highest pea detergency, just did as a preventative thing as I was taking some down time to properly weld the cat and basic tune up ffw, I've been using super tech (walmart syn oil 5w30 & filter) but recently noticed that oil levels were no longer as stable as before, (had started driving uber eats) here in Central Texas heat is usually the killer but with winter and fair weather why not, it was time I think for an oil change and decided to do a second piston soak now that the hollidays were around, this go around I changed it up I used wm motor cleaner [seafoam eq] about 1.5 cans, .5 was seafoam I had laying around, some acetone, some motor medic engine flush and penetrating oil (wd-40 or equivalent) on my first soak I didn't document pics with a scope :^/ as I was pressed for time this go around I did have a scope handy, now I haven't finished the write up on this yet as I don't have pics on the after, how-ever this go around I not only did the soak (yes I rotated the engine manually) but I didn't 20miles driving with a trail of clouds behind me, but interestingly enough I was getting some amazing mpg the engine felt loosened up! Then did oil change filter as well, and then did oil flush with motor medic for 10 minutes. Before finally the last oil change with 5w30 super tech, again haven't gotten pics of the pistons yet and it's been 800miles since (uner eats is usually 100m a day 3 or 4 days out the week) works only 5 miles so yes I know it's a bit, but with the fresh oil performance seems improved but still not as smooth as it felt when driving with all the chems in the oil after the soak ! Now considering making the switch to 5w20 ! Also changed up the filter size to 3614 since I had some extra (06 tundra filter my other vehical) I had a spec sheet for various filters but I can't find it currently, but it had the same pressures and what not and got me to 4.0 on the oil change, took samples of oil from piston soak and oil flush will post this afternoon,

No they did not on the generation 2 I've been running the 3800 tall filter the same one that goes in my Toyota 1MZ van It's like twice as tall as the little thing that goes on the one NZ gives you a little more oil capacity nothing to ride home about but anything is better than none and I hadn't noticed anytime I clean everything doesn't really change much for me here in North Carolina I still get about between 45 and the 47.1 the car was rated for when it was put on the road new but that's about it then if my wife drives any of the three generation two she'll have it down to 38 mi per gallon quick fast in a hurry so it must be a lot to do with driving style that's the only thing I can see with that If I get in the car that she's been driving with 38 showing on the display I'll have it up to 41 and 20 minutes. And I do like you run the Walmart oil I tend to use the 5:30 in the one NZ simply because I'm in the heat here in North Carolina the couple of weeks that I have of cold isn't really worth the lighter weight I don't think I would think in Texas I would keep the 5: 30 I've only visited Texas a few times and it makes North Carolina look cool year round.
