You might do worse than to visit TireRack.com and check out what they suggest when you put the two sets of data (year, make, model into their package-builder). They recognized the subtle differences between the 2009 Gen II base and touring packages. I think provided the offsets and BCD information were the same there shouldn't be any problems! - hope this helps
The offsets are the same for the 15" wheels. So are the bolt patterns. There were no 17" wheels on the GII, it was 16". The offsets on the 16" GII and the 17" GIII wheels are different. There is a slight difference between the two 15" wheel rim designations. They will probably work, as some on this forum use their GII snow tyre wheels on their GIII. But, as always, when using non-OEM parts you are fully responsible if there is something not right.
Thanks, that's what I'm considering, we're looking at upgrading to a G3 and I was wondering if I can keep my G2 snow tires/wheels for the G3. It sounds like it shouldn't be a problem.
I did, the alloy wheels are melting but the tires still hold air, 15" wheels. The gen2 was traded with aftermarket 17" wheels that needed to go away
