Considering an AWDe Prius. Only complaint about my 2011Prius is the low ground clearance - makes mid-state New York winter driving crummy. Any good news about the Prius AWD-e? Does the AWD compensate for what is STILL low ground clearance? Thanks!

I've had my LE AWD-e since late March, and won't be able to give a real report on how it handles snow until next winter. I had it briefly in some snow (also a few dirt roads) and it does activate the AWD as expected. I'm very happy with the car, but mostly that's because I love all the new standard safety features (e.g. rear cross traffic alert is very effective) and I'm very pleased with the MPG; short trips around town are around 50 mpg, longer trips (30-90 miles) around 70 mpg in good conditions using hypermiling techniques where possible. There is only one negative -- lack of spare tire.
