2017 Dashboard Rattle...It's Not The Heater Ducts!

My 2017, trim 3, had developed a rattle at about 40,000 miles in the upper part of the dash, just left of the HVAC/display binnacle.

I saw the HVAC duct TSB discussion and thought that might be a good place to start. I'd purchased the 100k mile extended factory warranty, so at the 50k mile service asked my dealer (Toyota of Muncie...awesome people!) to investigate it and fix it.

They ruled out the ducts but did find the SiriusXM antenna module was loose. Their repair was to wrap it in insulating foam AMD make it snug.

All better!

Other than that and the center console always being loose (they fixed that with Loctite), the interior has been reasonably quiet.

The car's been great... real lifetime mileage is around 55mpg, with a best of 67. Very pleased!
