    Folks,

Unfortunately, while on the highway, some moron did not secure the items in his pickup truck bed. A plastic bucket came out flying at me and I could not avoid it. Long story short, it hit and sliced open the bottom driver side of the bumper.

Curious if anyone has any experience with the aftermarket "paint n ship" options that send out color-matched bumpers, or any other recommendations. Car is Blizzard white.

    Thanks!

I've seen a few bumper covers from a few of these services I have a local guy that will generally paint mine for pretty reasonable unfortunately the paint cost more than the bumper cover practically car paint is just unbelievably expensive Not exactly sure why but I'm sure it's very well done marketing. The few that I have seen come from the places that ship them pre-painted have looked pretty good on the car I am by no means an expert at paint and body matching and all that My eyes are pretty good but nothing special I generally I look at these things as car parts replacement parts and they need to look reasonable this is not any kind of show car business or any of that and we don't want to pay for it like that either considering a bumper cover for these cars now can be had for around $100 the rest is all the paint so these things are shipping for like $350 $395 something along those lines painted they seem to be packaged pretty well I haven't had any cum damaged most of them all the holes line up and if they're off a little bit it's not anything that's going to cause you to ruin the bumper cover just enlarge the whole apply the fastener so on and so forth like what most body shops would do so if you're not familiar with this then you're not The white car should not be a humongous problem It's the reds and the grays that can give you grief.
