I was just curious if Toyota fixed the EGR / Intake Manifold issues on the Prius V (Wagon) redesign 2015-2017. Not sure if it was just a cosmetic update with some structural changes to fix the IHS crash test ratings. I have a 2012 Prius V and had to have the EGR service done at 92k the dealer which cost over $700 and was wondering if they ever fixed it

Also would the 2016-2017 Rav 4 Hybrid or the 2011 - 2016 Highlander Hybrid have the same issues as well. Our Lexus CT200h is getting a little cramped for us so am mulling over options for the second car

    Thx

There was a note that the piston rings were redesigned on 2015 onward, which may mitigate the egr issue.

McGeorge Toyota Parts links to EGR parts:

The pipe, valve and cooler have the same part numbers. The official names are a little different, for example what's commonly described on PriusChat as "cooler" is referred to as "pipe", and similarly the "pipe" is called "tube", but yeah.

So the parts are identical, which leaves maybe only programming differences? Which I kinda doubt.
