My prius C has 115k on it and original breaks. The front disc were done in about an hour. but I am having issues with the rear drums. I got the first side together but I can not get the drum on. Its close but I can not see where it can compress any more. I took a few pictures maybe you guys can tell me what is wrong. well I checked everything and no go. I put the old break shoes on and it went back together like butter. Must be in the shoes. The old shoes were not worn much at all. they were with in one MM of being the same thickness as the new ones so I will let it go. The shoe break material was about an inch or so longer on each end than the originals.

Aftermarket or oem? Is there a lip on the drum itself?

Sounds like aftermarket, and they were just a little too big.
