2013 Prius PHEV Base Canada nav Entune grayed out apps

My rare Canadian PHEV Prius 2013 with base model nav only shows 1 of the possible 8 apps even after moving from version 1.7 to 5.2 doing the USB key update. The update installed the apps but they’re possibly grayed out. Only Map is available . Because this is a Canadian model the Entune app only works in Canada for models 2019 for Entune 3.0 whereas you Americans can login as early as 2012. Does that mean that we in Canada are out of luck or with an iPhone (not Android) do I have to connect my already paired iPhone thru the internal USB port to have these apps available because that’s the only way to tether the phone to provide internet for the car. I believe my only options on pairing were Connect for Phone & Connect for Music.
