2013 Non-nav/non-jbl speaker upgrade

Hello everyone I was wondering if anyone has changed out the front speakers on the 2013 base model while keeping the stock HU. I know the older GenIII's HU was not very good to begin with but I am wondering if the new touchscreen is better and could improve with just better speakers. I have a pair of Infinity Kappa Reference 6.5" component speakers sitting brand new in a box that I would like to use but do not want to upgrade the stock HU. Has anyone upgraded the fronts on their 2013 with components and might have some pics on where to put the tweeter?

 

Since not many people probably don't have a 2013 and the speaker placement seems to be the same as the 2012 can you install component speakers by putting the tweeter in place of the dash speakers and woofers on the front doors?
