2012 Prius V stereo & usb malfunction

    Hey everyone! I have a 2012 Prius V5 with 81K mikes on it. Recently the stereo started freaking out. First, it stopped working completely. Then the back up camera came back. Then the USB port stopped sending power to my iPhone. And finally, the FM audio has returned! But nothing comes up when you hit the “source” button, so I can no longer connect any devices. Any suggestions? And if I need to replace, any recommendations on that?

    I would find a direct replacement with a guarantee on ebay, LKQ or your local salvage yard. Be sure you know the exact part number which may be an upgraded version on a v5. If it has the hard drive nav it can be several components. Often you can check with the dealer parts department and they can look it up via your vin.

    Have you pulled the Main Fuse or the 12 volt battery power?
